Finally it’s my turn to be on tv. For those who caught my episode on Channel News Asia today, here are the images that I’ve taken. A few of them were featured in the show. I can count the number of times I shot in the jungle with one hand….most of the time, I’ll be with my trail running shoes and hydration pack, not camera and lenses.

This is a follow up on my notes on
shooting portraits with a flash. The same principle applies where you can use a wireless transmitter, ST-E2, or another flash, with firing disabled. The trick is balancing it with ambient light. A bit of trial and error on the flash output is required to have the effect more or less pronounced in comparison with the ambient.
